Here we go with the long awaited version 0.6.3 of the client formerly
known as mICQ.
The first big change is an internal one - there is now a clear distinction
between a "server" and a "connection", most visible by the output of the
"conn" command. In particular, "conn close 4" closes the first connection,
while "conn logoff 4" logs out from the 4th server, though that is usually
the same. The direct connection configuration is now done via options. Then,
the ICQ6 support was removed - I don't think it has any use anymore, as in
the age of XMPP nobody would setup an internal ICQ server anymore. Including
some source renamings.
Then there has been some work on the roster code. The ICQ roster is still
annoying to no end, but there's a chance to get things synced now:
* if there are differences in the visible/invisible flag, just use togvis
or toginvis on that contact until you've reached the config you want,
then things will be in sync
* if a contact is in a different group on the server, just add him to
the group again (add Group Group), and it will be synced
* if a contact is in the "no group" group, then "contact upload" will
move it on the server to where it is locally
* if a contact upload seems successfull, but the contact is afterwards
still not on the server, add it to a group named "New Users"
Additionally, contacts which are on the server have the "S" (or "s") flag in
ee* or ww* commands, now contacts that require authorization have an "T"
(or "t") flag instead.
On the XMPP side of things, unknown XML is not written to stdout anymore,
but instead written to the debug log. Additionally, support for GoogleMail
notifications was added. Unfortunately, even while Google's spec claims
that new email notifications will be automatically sent once a query has
been sent to the server, I haven't seen any of them, so there are currently
regular polls of new email. Additionally, there is a new command called
"gmail" to do arbitrarily queries to email.
For translation, I got an ru.i18n an uk.i18n translation update from
komar. Did I already mention I'm interested in other translation
updates as well?

Note there is no rpm at the moment, until I have figured out how
to make rpm not pass -march=i386 to the compiler, which rpm pulls
out of nowhere for some reason. Unfortunately, our high quality
GNU libc doesn't compile with that setting anymore.
