I did not apply any patch (still at 0.5.3, because it's stable and without any bugs :-) and no new (for me) interesting features were introduced in newer releases - as OTR for example) and that behaviour stopped (offline users do not change to offline after I change status to online from away/na).

I still think it was some OSCAR issue... was this reported with other 'console' clients? (as if there were so many...)

Anyway - thank you for that patch ;-)
