Due to the recent changes of the Oscar servers, a fixed version was
needed immediately. Since there were too many changes since 0.5.1
and since 0.5.1 wass already released too long ago, I decided to
make it 0.5.2.

There are only two release highlights except for the login fix:

First, there is AIM compatibility. Just use "add AIM:screen nick" to add
"screen" to your contact list with the nick "nick". Mutual visibility,
authorization and messaging works - everything else is untested (is there
anything else, anyway?).

Second, there is a tiny little bit of Jabber support. You need libiksemel
and libgloox to be installed. You need a configuration in your micqrc like
this:

[Connection]
type jabber auto
version 8
server jabber.org
port 5222
screen Tadu at jabber.org
password likeidtellyou
status online

Then, you can add contacts with "add JABBER:id at jabber.com nick". Note you
need to have a pre-existing jabber account, and mICQ can neither request
nor grant authorization. It does, however, do visibility and messages.
Anything unknown will be dumped on you (i.e. on the screen), in particular
any unexpected XML node.

Note: if you need only the fix, please use the patch from the mailing list:
http://krikkit.ukeer.de/pipermail/micq-list/2006-November/001350.html
It should apply even to older versions than 0.5.1 of mICQ, because that
particular code was untouched for quite a while.

Here are the checksums as usual:

md5sum ca39b53627a251a65e6bcee16924ac19 source/micq-0.5.2.tgz

sha1sum 6198b02f5e9bb63b7823671a64802817131a37bf binary/micq_0.5.2-0_i386.deb
sha1sum 61f9fc370e6bb0644a2db2c03dd5383fc60b10ac binary/micq-0.5.2-AmigaOS.tgz
sha1sum b4dc91250db3f44e605c66e6c4cf850a432623c3 binary/mICQ-0.5.2.x86.package
sha1sum 92b25f360d35ebb7ca5b391f69f711ece10fd296 source/micq-0.5.2.tgz

Note I did not do an .rpm, because rpmbuild does not find the specfile in
the tarball anymore. Too bad. The .deb is for Ubuntu Edgy; it probably will
also work for Debian sid, but most probably not for Dapper or Sarge. I take
contributed .debs and .rpms any day.

Enjoy!

PS. You may want to make a backup of your micqrc and status files. At least
the micqrc file changed (e.g. for non-numeric status values).
